Dozens of criminal gang members nabbed in Mogadishu

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Dozens of young men were arrested Saturday in Elaasha Biya area of Mogadishu in a sting operation by the police following a spate of crimes.

Pictures from the police station showed the men wielding knives among an assortment of light weapons which they are said to attack, rob and harass locals. The operation took place in Jabad-Gelle village of Elasha Biyaha area.

The police department said the operations were successful and will continue to rid the city of criminal gangs.
