Elders in Galkaayo accuse Puntland Government forces of civilian killings
Elders and intellectuals in Galkaayo have expressed concern over the killings of civilians in outskirt of the town.
Ali Hussein Ali in Galkaayo speaking to Goobjoog News has accused Puntland forces of committing planned killings and other human right violations against people in the town.
“It was only yesterday when Puntland forces gunned down a civilian after they raided his house in the outskirt of the town” he said.
He pointed that they tried several times to talk to Puntland government on the issue but the administration turned down their efforts.
The elders called upon the international community and human right groups to intervene the issue where the violations against civilians are committed deliberately.
On the other hand, Puntland State has not yet commented on the allegations.
