Election of HOP058 seat scheduled for today in Beletweyne

GOOBJOOG NEWS/JOWHAR: Hirshabelle State Election Implementation Team is today expected to hold elections for the HOP058 seat in Beledweyne town.

The election of the seat earlier scheduled for yesterday was suspended by the Hirshabelle electoral team due to security reasons.

The HOP058 seat, previously held by Nur Idow Beyle, will today be contested by seven other candidates after Beyle withdrew from the race.

Below are the candidates running for today’s seat:

1. Abdullahi Mohamed Ali (Sanbaloolshe), former NISA Director.

2. Yonis Mohamed Nuur

3. Ali Abdullahi Osoble, former Hir-Shabelle President 

4. Abdulkadir Hussein Olow

5. Mohamud Afduub Makaraan

6. Abdullahi Ahmed Hussein

7. Ubah Ali Sheegow
