GOOBJOOG NEWS|JOWHAR: The HirShabelle polls team will today hold elections for the HOP135 seat in Jowhar town.
Two candidates have been registered to run for the HOP135 seat and the Hirshabelle Electoral Committee yesterday awarded certificates of candidacy to Mohamed Aden Dahir and Mohamed Nur Hussein.
The seat was left vacant by the late Member of Parliament Amina Mohamed Abdi, who was killed in a suicide bomb in Beletweyne while campaining for her re-election.
The Hirshabelle administration is yet to complete the parliamentary elections, with one seat still up for grabs in the town of Jowhar.
