Key figures:
Overall MPs elected: (185) 67%

New MPs: 119 (64%)
Current MPs: 66 (36%)
Remaining seats: 90 (36%)
The long-running Lower House electoral process has crossed the quorum threshold for the 11th parliament to convene but grossly fell short of a credible exercise in what became more of a selection than an election.
As of February 27, the number of MPs elected stood at 185 which two seats above the two-thirds threshold required for the House to convene business. Out of the 275 seats of the Lower House, 183 seats must be filled to enable it to commence business.
So far, only 38 women have been elected translating to 20%. Out of the 54 seats of the Senate, 24 went to women now adding up to 62 the number of women elected so far to the Federal Parliament. To realise the 30% quota, at least 98 of the 329 seats of both chambers should go to women.
It, therefore, means that out of the remaining 90 seats, at least 36 should go to women. Below is the breakdown of the elections thus far.
