Energy minister visits SoDMA headquarters

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Government of Somalia energy and water resources minister Mr. Jama Taqal Abas today visited the National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) headquarters where he held a meeting with SoDMA chairman Mr. Mohamud Maalim Abdulle.

The officials discussed among other issues cooperation among the two departments especially mitigating the effects of floods and enhance weather forecasting and have effective disaster warning centers.

The meeting also focused on how to find a proper approach to reduce the impact of drought and floods and how to strengthen sustainable solutions and disaster resilience.
