EXLCUSIVE: Govt forces and fugitive Minister Abdirashid Janan troop’s fight at the border of Kenya and Somalia

Report from Beled-Hawa district indicates Confrontation between federal Government forces and Jubbaland forces that are loyal to wanted former Jubaland Security Minister, Abdirashid Janan broke out conflict at the border of Kenya and Somalia.

Direct fire is ongoing on the Kenyan border, a camp that is under the leadership of Jubbaland forces led by Abdirashid Janan.

The fighting affected Mandera County and Bulo Amin areas. Mandera county leaders and residents accused Kenya government of giving room to the fugitive minister with armed troops in Kenya which illegal according to Kenya law.

Somalia previously asked Kenya to handover Janan who is wanted for “serious crimes” and escaped government custody last month but Kenya declines the request.
