Father, daughter killed in separate twin mortar shell attacks in Mogadishu

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Two people were killed Tuesday morning in Mogadishu after a mortar shell landed on their home in Warta Nabada district.

According to police sources, those killed were a father and his daughter while the mother and members of the family were injured in the early morning attack.

A vehicle which was on the parking yard was also partly destroyed in the attack. The target of the attack was not immediately clear but it thought it was aimed at Villa Somalia which is located within the same locality.

In another incident in the city, mortar shells hit areas in Deynille district but there was no immediate information about casualties.
