Fed-State govts row: First Senate delegation arrive in Garowe
The first batch of senators dispatched to the federal states arrived in Garowe the capital of Puntland today.
The delegation led by Senator Abdirahman Mohamud Faroole held their first meeting in the city ahead of scheduled sessions including with state president Abdiweli Gaas.
The Faroole led team is among four other teams heading to South West, Jubbaland, Galmudug and HirShabelle states on fact finding and conflict resolution mission.
The Senate took the decision to send senators to the regions following a fall-out between federal and state governments.
The senators are expected to concluded the mission in ten days.
