Federal and Jubaland Forces Clash in Bardheere, Casualties Reported

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GEDO: Federal forces clashed with Jubaland paramilitary units in Bardhere town of Gedo region Wednesday morning amid reports of casualties.

Sources said the two sides exchanged heavy fire since morning, with some reports indicating that the national forces inflicted losses on the Jubaland dervishes. Further reports said the national forces had taken control of the town.

However, the reports could not be immediately verified. The circumstances surrounding the fight were not clear, though such incidences are not uncommon.

Gunfire can still be heard from the town.
