Federal Government committed to boost education, PM Barre says
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Federal Government of Somalia will continue to invest in the education sector as a way of improving the lives of the Somali people, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has said.
The Prime Minister spoke during the graduation ceremony of over 3000 teachers which was held at the General Kaahiye police Academy on Saturday, which say the attendance of various government officials, including Labor Minister Bihi Egeh and the Somali Police Force Commissioner Gen. Sulub Ahmed Firin.
The training program for the 3,000 teachers is part of the government’s efforts to improve education in Somalia. The newly trained teachers will be deployed to public schools across the country to provide quality education to Somali children.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Barre also inspected a guard of honor by the Police Force and praised their continued commitment to securing the country from all criminal elements.
