Federal government foreign minister meets his counterpart in Madrid
Federal government foreign affairs minister Abdirahman Duale Beilah met his Spain counterpart José Manuel García-Margallo in Madrid and discussed ways of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations.
Also in their meeting the ministers discussed other issues of common interest like co-operation between the countries in the fight against terrorism and support to federal government effort to stabilize the nation.
During the meeting, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the situation of Somalia and the ongoing changes.
On the other hand the minister took separate meeting with the director of Africa, Asia and Western European agency for development and co-operation of Spain’s government Mr. Alberto Virella, their meeting focused on setting up developmental projects and speeding up reconstruction of Somalia after more than two decades of civil strife.
