Federal Government Launches Investigation into Doolow Security Incident

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GEDO: The Federal Government of Somalia says it is closely monitoring a security incident that originated at a house in Doolow district in the Gedo region.

In a statement, the government said preliminary reports from security agencies indicated that explosions and gunfire had been heard in the area, causing fear and confusion among residents.

The government has appointed a fact-finding committee to investigate the incident. The findings will be shared with the public once the investigation is complete.

Authorities noted that Doolow is strategically important to the security and movement of people and goods within the Gedo region. Residents were urged to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information.

The Federal Government said protecting stability in the district and ensuring the safety of its residents remain key priorities.
