Federal Government Moves to Implement Mogadishu Airport Upgrade
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Federal Government of Somalia has agreed to proceed with the implementation of new internal roads and a modern drainage system at Aden Adde International Airport following a high-level coordination meeting.
Federal officials endorsed detailed engineering designs and resolved to coordinate closely with relevant institutions to fast-track execution of the project.
Authorities said the planned upgrades are intended to enhance operational efficiency, improve safety standards and strengthen service delivery at the country’s main international gateway.
The project forms part of the World Bank-supported Nagaad programme and is expected to contribute to the federal government’s broader agenda of modernizing critical infrastructure and reinforcing economic growth.
