Federal government plans to fight corruption
The federal government of Somalia has on Thursday announced to launch a stiff campaign against corruption and mismanagement in the country.
Federal government minister for information Mustaf Sheikh Dhuhulow told the media outlets today in Mogadishu stated that Somali government is determined to start new initiatives meant to give full awareness to the public against corruption.
He reiterated that corruption has many forms which include money embezzlement, bribe and favoritism.
He stressed that corruption has paralyzed and the federal government will stand firmly to stop that mentalities.
The minister finally stated that there are other educational programmes aimed to teach the public the problems of the corruption and federal government urge the public to back the government’s effort to end corruption.
UN monitoring group has accused the federal government for corruption after the former Central bank governor, Yusur Abrar resigned.
