Federal Government Postpones NCC Summit Over “Technical Issues”
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Federal Government of Somalia has postponement the National Consultative Council (NCC) summit over what it described as “technical Issues”.
The Prime Minister’s office confirmed the cancellation of the summit which was scheduled to commence Saturday in Mogadishu saying a new date will be announced soon.
The summit had been convened to address counter-terrorism efforts and finalize the country’s constitution which the Federal Government of Somalia’s president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has said is part of his government’s main agenda.
Somalia’s International partners have called for a consensus at both federal and regional levels over the constitution so as to create a document that satisfies the needs of all the Somali people.
