Federal Government Strengthens Coordination under Resilient State Program
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Federal Government of Somalia has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening state institutions and improving public service delivery following a high-level meeting of the Strategic Resilient State-building Program (SRSP) Project Board.
The session was chaired by the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Ali Yusuf Hosh, and brought together senior representatives from the Office of the Prime Minister, Federal Member State Ministries of Interior, the Banaadir Regional Administration, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), international partners, and civil society organizations.
The meeting reviewed progress achieved under the SRSP framework and focused on enhancing coordination to advance Somalia’s state-building, stabilization, and reconciliation priorities. Participants emphasized the importance of policy alignment, strengthened accountability mechanisms, and effective utilization of international support to reinforce national institutions.
Addressing the forum, Minister Ali Yusuf Hosh described the SRSP Project Board as a critical platform for translating shared commitments into tangible outcomes for citizens. He reaffirmed the government’s determination to work closely with partners to build resilient institutions and promote inclusive governance nationwide.
During the discussions, the Ministry’s Director General, Abdulkadir Ali, highlighted the need for stronger collaboration between federal and state institutions to boost institutional capacity and ensure efficient, citizen-centered service delivery. He stressed that the SRSP must be fully aligned with Somalia’s 2026 national priorities to deliver sustainable and visible results.
The meeting concluded with a clear roadmap for 2026, underscoring the importance of coordinated implementation, accountability, and measurable progress to ensure effective and citizen-focused public services across the country.
