Federal parliament appoints an interim committee to amend the National election law

The National Assembly of the federal parliament of Somalia has today appointed a special temporary committee for the national election law.

A statement from the office of the federal parliament speaker Mohamed Mursal Sheikh Abdirahman has appointed the committee which consists of 15 members from the federal members of the parliament.

The decree has also ordered the secretary-General of the House of the parliament, Abdikarin Haji Buh to facilitate all the necessities for the committee.

Some lawmakers who have spoken to Goobjoog News said that the national election law which the government has submitted was full of misconceptions and objects with the constitution and needs to be addressed.
