Federation of Somali Trade Unions elects new chairman

Federation of Somali Trade Unions held its meeting in the Somali capital Mogadishu to elect its leadership.
Civil society groups, workers and officials from the Federal Government of Somalia were present as observers in order to ensure that the election is fair and free.
After the election papers count, Mohamed Osman Hajji won overwhelmingly to become the new chairperson of Federation of Somali Trade Unions for second time as of today 27th of April 2016.
The chairman stated that he will do all he can to help young people to get jobs in the main stream of the society.
He said lack of opportunities and employment for youths are the major obstacle to the recovery of the economy of the country.
