FIET calls on MPs yet to collect certificates to do so before April 14

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: The Federal Electoral Implementation Team (FIET) has issued a statement calling on the newly elected Members of Parliament who are yet to receive their certificates to do so before the date for the swearing in ceremony.

The Federal polls body has maintained that the swearing in ceremony will take place on April 14 as earlier announced despite unresolved issues which have continued to plague the process. 

“We hereby inform you that the swearing-in ceremony of the new parliamentarians will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2022. We urge the Honorable Members to meet at 10:00 AM at the Afisioni Tent Hall. We respectfully request that you be punctual and that you be prepared for the occasion,” read a statement from the body.
