Financing process and debt rescheduling plan Conference held in Kismayo

Somali Minister of Finance Abdirahman Duale Beyle arrived in Kismayo yesterday to hold a joint meeting with the leaders of the host state of Jubbaland.

The meeting which will be attended by all Ministers of Finance, the Federal government and regional levels which will be discussed the process of financing and debt rescheduling plans, also to promote work strategy and unifying the country’s tax system.

Somalia’s budget for 2020 indicates much higher than in 2019 while the government has largely budgeted for domestic revenue as a result of government tax increases.

Finance ministers meeting will be the first hosted meeting in Jubaland after the controversial election on August 22 last year in Kismayo.
