Foreign leaders land in Mogadishu for President Mohamud’s inauguration

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: More foreign dignitaries among them heads of states and governments are arriving in Mogadishu ahead of the inauguration of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Djibouti President Ismail Guelleh landed at Aden Adde Airport shortly before noon. The two were received by Prime Minister Mohamed Roble and later headed to Villa Somalia where they met President Mohamud.
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has also arrived in the country for the historic occasion which will see the first-ever president in Somalia inaugurated into office two times. All previously elected presidents have served only for one term.
