Former DDS President Abdi Iley’s mother appeals for her son’s release

Former DDS president Abdi Mohamed Omar’s mother has appealed to the prime minister of Ethiopia to release her son.
Diib Mahad Colow the mother of Abdi Omar said; “my son is ill with the prison’s detention, calling for the Ethiopian government to a apologize and release her son.”
Abdi Iley resigned on August 6 following a clash military clash between Federal defence force and the region’s special force, which is believed to be loyal to the president.
Abdi Mohamud Omar has been arrested on 27 August after he was taken away from his home.
Human rights organizations have also accused Abdi Iley of belonging to acts of violence, robbery, rape and forced displacement in Somali estate region in Ethiopia.
