Storyline:National News
Former Somalia Foreign Minister Ismael Hurre Buba said that the people of Somaliland did not want to break from Somalia as advocated by the administration.
“There are too many people who want unity with the rest of Somalia, but the administration is pressurizing the public to rally behind the Secessionist agenda” said Buba who is an advocate of Somali unity.
He called upon Somaliland leaders to reconsider their push for a breakaway state.
He also called upon the Somali federal government not to give up the negotiations.
This is despite a breakdown of the ongoing talks between Somalia and Somaliland.
