Former governor rejects Baladwein to host state formation conference

The former governor of Middle Shabelle region, Abdi jinow Alasow has commented on the upcoming state formation conference of Hiraan and lower Shabelle regions saying the future of the regions should be consulted with the people of these regions.
He rejected reports suggesting that the state formation conference will be held in Baladwein.town
“The decision should come from people of these regions but it should not be consulted with individuals” he said.
He added that decision of where the conference would be, should not only come from the president of Somalia but should be consulted inclusively the people.
“The conference hosting town cannot be decided by the governors of Hiraan and middle Shabelle regions (Abdifatah and Ali Guudlaawe respectively)” said Abdi.
This comes after Hiraan governor said that the conference will be held in Baladwein town, the headquarters of Hiraan region.
