Former MP: Barre Hirale’s decision to attend Juba reconciliation conference is a positive step forward
A former member of transitional federal parliament of Somalia Hilowle Adan welcomed Barre Hirale’s decision to take part in Juba reconciliation conference and described it as a positive step towards region’s development.
Mr. Hilowle urged Interim Juba administration leaders to speed up dialogue and reconciliation between the communities under Juba administration.
On other hand the former MP denied claims that he was appointed as the governor of Gedo region to replace Mohamed Abdi Kalil who also accepted to attend Juba reconciliation conference. He described the claims as propaganda and far from truth.
After closed door meetings between Barrre Hirale and Ahmed Madobe administration brokered by federal government ministers and IGAD, the former defense minister accepted to attend second phase of Juba reconciliation conference which is expected to open in Kismayo on 21st September.
Barre Hirale who reached Mogadishu last week also met the top government leaders including PM Abdweli.
