Former leader Puntland buried in Bosaso

The body of Former Puntland president, Adde Muse has arrived Bossaso for burial on Tuesday.

The body was flown from Abu Dabi in United Arab Emirates where he died on 8th this month.

The funeral, held at the Mosque in Galkaayo town brought together residents and was attended by President Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas and other officials from Puntland government.

He was laid to rest in one of Bosaso Cemeteries.

Adde was born in Mogadishu and joined the military service and later was promoted to higher ranks during the past military regime of Siyad Bare.

He who was reportedly receiving medical treatment in the past months in UAE passed away on 8th this month.

In 2005, he was elected as the second President of semi-autonmous region of Puntland, and served the office till 2009.
