Former Somaliland minister welcomed in Garowe

The administration of Puntland region welcomed former Somaliland minister of transport and president Silanyo adviser Ahmed Abdi Habsade had reached the capital city of Puntland, Garowe.

Abdikim Amey Puntland deputy president, accompanied by other government officials welcomed Xaabsade at the outskirts of Garowe on Sunday evening. The well-known politician was later escorted to Presidential Palace of Puntland in Garowe, where he met President Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gaas.

Xaabsade served many positions in Somaliland, including ministerial posts and as a senior adviser of Silanyo on electoral affairs. He has also served offices in Puntland.

Puntland officials said Mr. Habsade came back to serve Puntland government  after a long absence, after a dispute with Puntland’s former president Cadde Musse in 2007.
