Four People Killed in Restaurant Explosion in Mogadishu

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: At least four people were killed and five others injured following an explosion at a restaurant in Mogadishu.

According to sources, the blast went off at a popular restaurant in Ali Gedi area of Karaan district in northern Mogadishu.

Sources further said an improvised explosive device (IED) was reportedly planted in the restaurant and remotely controlled.

There was yet no response from the police but security forces already arrived at the scene to begin investigations. The explosion comes barely two weeks after a similar attack at a restaurant in the police academy in Mogadishu where about 10 people were killed.
