France supports Ethiopia to end disputes with Eriteria
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian arrived today in Adis-ababa the Ethiopian capital, where he will be staying a visit of two days.
The minister said “the reason for his visit is Paris to support Ethiopia to resolve disputes between Eritrea and Ethiopia”.
Jean-Yves Le Drian also pointed out that Ethiopian leaders would discuss and strengthen the relationship between France and Ethiopia.
Asmara and Ethiopia since Eritrea’s independence from Ethiopia in 19993 following the collapse of the two decades-old conflict, each nation accuses another of supporting the rebel groups.
The French foreign minister will have a discussion meeting with the Ethiopian new Prime Minister Abiya Ahmed on how to end the disputes between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
