Fresh inter-clan clashes embarks in Deefow locality

More than three people were killed in a fresh inter-clan clashes between two rival clans in Deefow locality, about 40km east of Beledweyn town, Somalia’s central Province of Hiiraan.

Eyewitnesses in the locality say the confrontation is due to dispute over water well in Deefow locality and nearby areas.

Hiraan administration has not yet given out immediate comment about the renewed confrontation between the two rival clans in the area.

Similar clan clashes in Deefow and Kabhanley localities region has claimed the lives of over thirty people and hundreds displaced are desperate for humanitarian support.
