Football tournament to kick off in Galkaayo today

A football tournament will kick off in Galkaayo today bringing together various districts in Galmudug state.

Officials from Balanbal, Adado districts have today visited Galkayo town to attend the opening ceremony of the tournament.

The main objective of the visit by the officials and their delegations was to ascertain the facility’s readiness to host the tournament which is scheduled to kick off on today.

Balanbal District Commissioner Hussein Liban Warsame said: “these games demonstrate the integration of the community and contribute to peace and development in the country.”

The Galmudug Football Association is expected to host in all the districts under Galmudug administration.

The tournament officials have designated by the authorities in the field to encourage the youth to participate in the country’s development.
