Galmudug-Alhusuna talks to open Monday in Djibouti

The IGAD led talks on finding an agreement between Galmudug administration and Alhusuna Wal Jamaa will open in Djibouti Monday.

Galmudug state leadership led by president Ahmed Geele and his deputy will be meeting the Alhusuna leadership as the two sides try to strike an agreement following years of disputes.

The meeting which follows a similar one in Nairobi last week comes amid ongoing differences between the two factions some of which have led to violent clashes in the past.

Alhusuna has maintained its grip on Dhusamareb the designated capital of Galmudug since the state was formed June 2015.
