Elder Abdirahman Kheyre in Galmudug state has called for a peaceful settlement of the differences between Galmudug and moderate Islamist group Ahlu-Sunna Waljamaa.
“We urge Galmudug state and Ahlusuna to start talks and solve their rifts” Kheyre urged.
He stressed the need for urgent negotiation and compromise between Galmudug State and Ahlu Sunna –a paramilitary religious militia that controls parts of Galgudug region.
Kheyre told Goobjoog News the first priority for Galmudug state now is to initiate peace talks with all parts in the region “There is a lot of work waiting to be done by Galmudug State but before anything else we need to create an atmosphere of confidence that everyone can be willing to be part of.”
He added “the administration carried out several commendable steps to ease the situation but I say let them keep moving ahead to iron out all differences in the region”
