Galmudug State planning and international cooperation minister Mohamed Elmi Afrah has been relieved of his duties by the state president following what he termed as gross neglect of duty and insubordination.
In a letter seen by Goobjoog News, the presidency noted Afrah had on several occasions failed to turn up to work and does not attend cabinet meetings.
Afrah is also accused of acts of insubordination and failure to attend to his duties.
“The terminations of his services come into effect when the president signs the letter,” the letter reads in part.
President Abdikarim Hussein Guled signed the letter Sunday.
Afrah was the first planning minister following the formation of Galmudug state in 2014.
