Galmudug president is recovering from his heart surgery

Galmudug officials said have confirmed the surgery of  the president of Galmudug state; Abdikarim Guled and said his health is stable after successful surgery of his heart.

Deputy Minister for justice, Mohamud Gure has said with the grace of Almighty Allah, heart surgery of president Guled has been successful and doctors have declared his health satisfactory.

“I hereby confirmed that the health status of the president is not so serious and he is recovery well, ” said Gure.

President Abdikarim Guled travelled t the Indian capital, New Delhi last week after heart-related complications.

He is expected to return to the country to continue towards the preparations for historic general elections in Somalia later this year.

Thousands of Somalis seek medical attention in India every year after they are referred by local hospitals to abroad health facilities.
