Garbaharay administration resettles 1500 IDPs

The administration of Garbaharay district in Gedo region has stated that 1500 internally displaced families in the district have benefited from resettlement project launched recently.

The families who lost their livestock to severe drought that hit across Somalia.

The deputy district commissioner of Garbaharay,  Adan Siraad told Goobjoog News that they resettled the families amid thousands who lost their livestock migrate to the towns.

He stated that his administration will make more efforts to assist the internally displaced people in the area.

Some of the families who benefited from the project said the help came the right time when they were in need of such help.

Siraad urged the federal government of Somalia to deliver emergency relief to the displaced people in Garbaharay who are in desperate conditions.
