Goobjoog Media Group marks 4 years, launches TV channel and Business FM
Goobjoog Media Group is today marking the fourth anniversary since it made its maiden entry into the media sphere in Somalia.
Driven by its rallying call for public service journalism, the media group has made remarkable strides in not only building the media industry in Somalia but also shaping and championing the course for professional journalism in the country.
Goobjoog Media Group began its operations with one radio station; Goobjoog FM broadcasting within Mogadishu and its environs. Four years down the line the group boasts of a stable of media outlets including Goobjoog Education radio (Maandeeq FM), Goobjoog Sports FM and the online portal Goobjoog News published both in English and Somali.
In marking this year’s fourth anniversary however the Media Group is presenting two other new brands to meet the ever increasing demand for quality and diversity. Goobjoog Business is the new kid in the block. The radio station is dedicated to providing top notch coverage of business stories in Somalia and the region.
This is in recognition of the growing business sector in Somalia hence the need to provide up to date business news and a platform for business community to share their ideas and engage with their clients in a more robust way.
Goobjoog TV, the latest brand under the Goobjoog Media Group banner will soon be making its grand entry into the media foray in Somalia. Billed as the group’s newest and revolutionary brand, Goobjoog TV is expected to redefine television production and consumption in Somalia.
The event will take place at SYL Hotel in Mogadishu.
