Government Comments on Job Creation for the Youth

Somali government has said that it has trained some 150 youth for the purpose of job creation in the face of huge unemployment in the country, particularly the youth.
In a statement, Daahir Abdullahi Abdi the director general for the ministry of youth and sports, the government has trained the youth with essential skills with the help of Government of Japan and IOM.
Some of the youth were equipped with motor vehicle mechanical skills which is available in the job market.
Youth unemployment is considered as a time bomb ticking in the face of government which is struggling to contain bloody insurgency by Islamic rebels. Alshabab is reported to lure the youth with promises of handsome salary.
