Government forces and AU troops seize Jalalaqsi district

Government forces and African union troops captured Jalaqsi town 120KM to Beledweyne, the headquarters of Hiran region.

There was no confrontations between the allied forces and Al-shabab in Jalalaqsi district as Al-shabab fighters withdrew from the town.

Our correspondent in Hiran region reports that the forces have on Wednesday seized over three areas in the region as Halgan and Noor Fanah.

Earlier today Al-shabab ambushed trucks transporting food aid to Bulo-burte and other areas hit by drought in the region.

Jalalaqsi is the last district in Hiran region to be captured by the allied forces since Indian Ocean operation started.
