Government spokesman in stable condition at ICU after bomb attack-doctor
GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Somali Government spokesperson Mohamed Moalimuu is in a stable condition at the ICU, a doctor has told Goobjoog News.
The doctor at Digfeer hospital told Goobjoog News Moalimuu who survived a car bombing earlier in the day however suffered a broken limb and has a chest problem following the impact of the bombing.
Moalimuu and his driver survived the bomb attack after a suicide bomber blew up next to his car in Makka Al Mukarama Street in Mogadishu. The bomber is said to have jumped into Moalimuu’s car and blew up.
This line of attack has become common with terror attackers in Mogadishu. Al-Shabaab, which claimed responsibility for the attack is seen to be deviating from Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs) and opting for Person Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (PVIEDs).
This is the third time Moalimuu has survived bomb attack in Mogadishu.
