Government Spokesman Moalimu arrives in Mogadishu

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: Somali Federal Government spokesman, Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu, has arrived in the capital Mogadishu from Istanbul, Turkey.

The Government Spokesman, who is also a former journalist, was given a rousing welcome by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, media executives, journalists and many other members when he landed at the Aden Adde International Airport.

Moalimu had been away for the last 37 days in Turkey for medical treatment after a suicide attack left him with chest, leg and arm injuries on January 16, 2022 while driving on the Makah Al Mukarama road in the capital, Mogadishu.

The Federal Government Spokesman, who is said to have survived four such attacks, is also vying for a seat in the 11th House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, in Hirshabelle.
