Government Spokesman to arrive in Mogadishu today

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: Somali Federal Government spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu is said to arrive in the Somali capital, Mogadishu in the coming hours from Istanbul, Turkey.

Moalimu had been away for almost two months in Turkey for medical treatment after a failed assasination attempt left him with chest, leg and arm injuries on January 16, 2022 while driving on the Makah Al Mukarama road in the capital Mogadishu.

The Federal Government Spokesman, who is also vying for a seat in the 11th House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, is expected to travel soon to Beletweyne to contest for the MP seat.

Sources close to Prime Minister Roble have confirmed that a reception to welcome Moalimu is underway at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport, and will be graced by Federal government officials, including journalists
