Governor Jimale calls for protection of vulnerable children

GOOGJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Mogadishu Mayor who is also the Governor of Banadir region Yusuf Husen Jimale has called for better protection of orphan and vulnerable children across the country.

The Governor who paid a visit to orphaned girls at a children’s home in Bondheere district to inspect the conditions at the facility and encourage the girls to work hard in their studies.

The child center’s director Nurto Mohamed Adow took the governor on a tour at the facility and briefed him on the needs required by the children.

Governor Jimale also visited and inspected Mama Ugason center in Wadajir District to assess the condition of children at the facility and praised Sirad Mohamed Noor, who owns the center for her selfless acts in caring for vulnerable children in the society.

He promised that the Federal Government of Somalia will support such centers to ensure all needy children are accorded necessary support.
