Gunman kills Puntland presidential director in Bossaso

The attorney general of Puntland’s military court of Puntland military court,  Abdikarim Hassan Firdhiye was shot dead by gunmen in port city of Bosaso on Sunday Morning.

Firkiye was shot dead in the town centre of the commercial city of Puntland.

Our correspondent in Bossaso,  Yussuf Abdi Shire, Puntland says that the attorney was killed by unknown gunmen.

“The attorney was seriously wounded by gunmen and he later died in hospital,” said Shire.

Farah Osman, an eyewitness in Bosaso, told Goobjoog News that the gunmen escaped from the scene.

“I was near the scene when the shooting took place. The attorney was shot and killed by three gunmen who escaped from the scene,” Osman said.

This attack comes days after the Puntland presidential palace director Adan Gaas was killed in the same town. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the Director killing.

In late November, Puntland recaptured the ancient town of Qandala, from the pro-daesh Somali militant group.
