District official gunned down in Baledweyne, central Somalia

 

A district officer attached to Howlwadaag division in Baledweyne district has been shot dead in the latest of a series of shootings targeting government employees in the district.

Goobjoog News correspondent in the town said Abdi Diiriye Darmaah was shot by unknown gunment on his way home.”The armed gunmen opened fire killing him on the spot,” our correspondent says.

Immediately, the gunmen fled away from the area before police arrived to carry out investigations, he added.
No group has by so far claimed the responsibility for the attack.
