Guriel deputy commissioner: No difference between Ahlu Suna and federal government
The administration of Ahlu Suna Wal Jama’a in Guriel district of Central Somalia denied that there is difference with federal government.
Guriel deputy commissioner of Ahlu Suna Wal Jama’a Ali Baashi Adan Diriye speaking to Goobjoog FM confirmed that there was misunderstanding but was solved through constant talks between the sides.
Diriye stated that Ahlu Suna militia have the support of the local people in the region claiming that they successfully managed to weed out Al-shabab from the area.
He added that they will always work as per the will of the people in region, he noted that the time of conflicts are over and urged everyone to work towards development.
“ This is not the time of conflict, it’s the time for strengthening unity, stability and state building efforts” The official stated.
On the other hand he affirmed that Ahlu Suna administration will take part in Central state formation conference that is due to open in Adado district the coming few days.
The remarks of Ahlu Wal Jama’a comes after Ahlu Suna lost the control of major districts in Central Somalia following clashes that embarked between militias loyal to Ahlu Suna and federal government forces.
