Hand Grenade Attack on AMISOM Convoy in Marka Injures one

At least one civilian has been injured after hand grenade hurled at AMISOM convoy passing near Marka police station on Sunday.

Eyewitness near scene told Goobjoog News that a civilian who happened to be near scene during the explosion sustained injuries.

Shops and all other business centres near were closed down after AMISOM troops launched operations to seek the criminals.

Reports also say that the troops cordoned off the road which curtailed the movement of people transport.

AMISOM has not commented on the explosion and if it caused other casualties a on their side.

No group claimed the responsibility of the explosion but Al-Shabab carries out attacks and ambushes against AMISOM troops and Somali National Army.
