Hawadle clan chief elder passes away, aged 58
Ugas Abdirhman Ugas Khalif – the chief elder of Hawadle Somali tribe passed on from apparent heart attack this morning in Baladwene city of Hiiran region .
The prominent chief elder dropped dead while leading reconciliation meeting in efforts to mediate two clans who fought Baladweyne in the recent weeks, source told Goobjoog News
The death of elder has shocked the resident of Hiran region and traditional elders. Mohmmad Hassan Haad- the spokesman of Hawiye clans extended his condolences to family and relatives of the deceased.
Somali Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid has also extended his condolence to people and family of Ugas Abdirhamn Ugas Khalif.
The preparation of the funeral service is undergoing in the Baladwene and the sultan is expected to be buried this afternoon in the main cemetery of the the city.
The chief was one of view traditional clan chiefs to have successful taken the path of formal education where he was graduated the prestigious Somali Gahayer University in 1980s.
