COVID-19 preventive equipment distributed to Galmudug and Hirshabelle regional states

Ministry of Health of the federal government handed over COVID-19  prevention equipment to regional state  Galmudug and Hirshabelle on Tuesday.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the medical equipment handed over to Galmudug and Hirshabelle is the latest and final allocation of the State Governments.

The first coronavirus case found in Somalia confirmed on Monday 16th march following Health Minister, Fawziya Abikar declared during a news conference in Mogadishu that a Somali national who returned from one of the countries affected by the virus has tested positive.

On Tuesday 19 March, the government of Somalia announced $5 million budget for the allocation to support the fight against coronavirus infection which world widespread.
